Biomuseo, is located in the Amador Causeway, is a project initiated by the Amador Foundation with support from the Government of Panama and the scientific support of the Smithsonian Institute and the University of Panama, and has aim to change how we see , understand and conserve our environment.  The Biomuseo is 400 square meters, with eight permanent exhibition galleries and sequenced , was designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry.   Exist in our Isthmus more species of birds, mammals, reptiles, and plants in the United States and Canada combined and Barro Colorado island in the Panama Canal has more plant species than all europe.

The Biomuseo is a project of worldwide importance which will be a hub to people of all nations in a center of learning, discovery and promotion of the most valuable resources of the planet: the biodiversity and protection of nature.
